Acceptable Use Policy

Version 1.0.0 · Effective 2026-06-28. Previous versions are available on request from privacy@sidekick.mu.

This Acceptable Use Policy (“AUP”) governs how you may use the Service operated by Beyond Technologies Ltd (“Sidekick”, “we”). It forms part of, and must be read together with, our Terms of Service. Breaching this AUP is a breach of those Terms and may lead to suspension or termination.

1. Lawful use only

You must not use the Service to:

  • break any applicable law or regulation, or facilitate anyone else doing so;
  • create, send or store any document you know to be false, misleading, fraudulent, or intended to deceive — including fake invoices, sham contracts, or documents misrepresenting another person or business;
  • commit or further fraud, money laundering, tax evasion, or financing of illegal activity;
  • impersonate any person or organisation, or sign or send a document you are not authorised to;
  • store or transmit content that is defamatory, obscene, harassing, hateful, or that infringes any third party’s intellectual-property, privacy or other rights.

2. Data & consent

You must only upload personal data (for example your clients’ contact details) where you have the right and any necessary consent to do so, and you must handle it in line with the Mauritius Data Protection Act 2017. Our role as processor of that data is set out in the Data Processing Agreement.

3. No spam

You must not use the Service to send unsolicited bulk or commercial communications (spam), or to send messages in breach of any anti-spam or electronic-communications law. Emails you send through Sidekick must relate to your genuine business dealings with the recipient.

4. Protect the Service

You must not:

  • reverse-engineer, decompile or attempt to extract the source code of the Service;
  • introduce malware or attempt to gain unauthorised access to the Service, other accounts, or our systems;
  • circumvent or probe rate limits, quotas, security or authentication;
  • use bots or automated means to overload or scrape the Service beyond ordinary use;
  • resell, sublicense or make the Service available to anyone outside your organisation, or use it to build a competing product.

5. Fair use of AI & resources

AI features, signature requests and other metered resources are subject to the limits of your plan and to fair use. Deliberately abusing these — for example automated mass-generation to exhaust resources — is a breach of this AUP.

6. Enforcement

We may investigate suspected breaches and may remove content, suspend or terminate access, and report unlawful activity to the authorities, in accordance with our Terms of Service. Where practicable we will give notice, but we may act immediately where use poses a legal or security risk.

7. Report abuse
