Here’s a plain-English summary of how Sidekick works and what you should keep in mind. It’s a guide, not the contract itself — the full legal documents are linked under each point and listed at the bottom. Sidekick is operated by Beyond Technologies Ltd (BRN C07000934), Mauritius.
Sidekick is a tool — not your accountant, lawyer or notary
Sidekick helps you create invoices, contracts and documents and gives AI suggestions. It does not give you tax, legal or accounting advice. Anything to do with VAT, the MRA, your BRN or a legal position is for you and your professional adviser to confirm — you stay responsible for what you send and file.

Our e-signatures are designed to work under the Mauritius Electronic Transactions Act 2000. They are not 'qualified' signatures under any foreign system. Some documents can't be signed electronically at all — wills, transfers of property, powers of attorney, notarial deeds and the like. You're responsible for checking the document is one you may sign this way and for confirming who you're sending it to.

The AI can be wrong. Always read anything it drafts — an invoice, a reply, a contract clause — before you rely on it or send it. You are the issuer of every document, not Sidekick.

Templates (including the real-estate ones) are starting points to save you typing — not vetted legal documents. Have a qualified professional or your notaire review anything important before you use it.

We process your data under the Mauritius Data Protection Act 2017. Our Privacy Policy explains what we collect, why, who we share it with (our sub-processors), and your rights. If you store your own clients' personal data in Sidekick, our Data Processing Agreement applies.

Plans and prices are on the website and can change on notice. Subscription fees are paid upfront and are non-refundable, and plans can't be cancelled mid-term (for annual plans, that's the full year) — except where the law requires a refund. Bank-transfer upgrades and AI credits are described in the Terms.

We work hard to keep Sidekick up but don't promise uninterrupted service, and we back up on a best-effort basis. Please keep your own copies of anything you legally need to retain — don't rely on Sidekick as your only archive.
